    Mint just reduced my limit from £8300 to £5600, some £300 above my balance. I actually have no problem with this given that, although I have a perfect payment record, I have large outstanding debts.

    However they put in a paragraph about this not affecting my credit score, or words to that effect. In other words they weren't saying I had run my account badly etc. But of course it now makes my 'proportion of credit used' percentage look that much higher which, as we know, is something that is taken into account when considering credit applications.

    I don't see a way round it really, but it is a tad misleading.
