Peace of mind Plan

I had an account with SIMPLY BE which i have recently paid off. I sent off for my statements and going through them I noticed i have quite a few charges for a 'Peace of mind plan' which i did not request. Can i claim these back? And if so would i also be able to claim any interest?

I think you need to find out what the Peace of mind plan actually was prior to asking, I don't know what it is so I don't know if you can reclaim it.

EDIT: from a google search it might be a PPI and therefore you will need a copy of the agreement to see whether you would have been ineligible to claim had you needed to do so.

peace of mind plan is exactly like PPI payment protection is all it is and if you never asked for it then you can get it back. I too noticed on my statements from simplybe and called to ask what it was, to be told it was like payment protection like what you get with credit cards if you ever fall back on payments due to ill health or umenployment etc... I have to now go back and ask for 6 years worth of statements and calculate how much ive paid for this that i too never asked for in the first place. As soon as i asked what it was for I was told we can get it cancelled for you if you like and it was done there and then over the phone.
