I had exactly the same reaction on reading the opening post :-[

It instantly put me on guard.

Apologies to the OP if this is totally genuine, but my advice would be to moderate your tone slightly

I still think this is the guy's own site. I'm not saying it's not a legitimate site, but there's someting about the whole 'check this out guys' 'really cool' line of patter that sounds very familiar, and they almost always turn out to be promoting their own sites.

As you say, apologies if this is a genuine board member and it is NOT his own site, but there is doubt in my mind.

If you read his other thread, http://!!!!!!.com/3lkoq it starts to sound suspicious. He's pushing it too hard. Sorry, but it doesn't ring true.

This is !!!!!! me off, here's the routine guys

1. I went to that site to buy a starsky and hutch replica which one of my friends bought from there earlier this year because i thought it would be a great present for my brother.

2. It was out of stock.

3. I found star wars toys I had paid £6.95 each for earlier this year were on this site for £1.95 each, £5 off each looked pretty good to me, if anyone knows of a site i can get them even cheaper post it and I'll buy from there too.

4. I ordered a bunch of them and some other stuff.

5. I thought hey that was pretty good since the total was way below what i expected and I though I'll post it on here since I'm a regular reader these days but have never really taken part in posting.

6. Some people on the board decide to throw stones at me for posting, sorry marge but I'd hate to meet you in real life if your instinct is to punch people who let you know stuff :-/

anyway whoever owns the shop has sold most of it so will be back down to poundland/cashncarry tomorrow to restock. Then we can keep these 2 threads alive for another day so they can shift it all to the MSE's.

I think its more of very suspicious minds. Sometimes, you can't do right for doing wrong. Has anyone stopped to consider that this just could be totally innocent post ? And anyway, if this is the guy's website (i'm not saying it is OP, just talking theoretically) but its totally legit, is it a crime? You can't just shoot someone down on the ground of suspicion.

No I agree - Thanks for the original post - but if people want to ask questions about the legitimacy of a site we know nothing about - there are several scams about - I think its reasonable that is up for discussion. If people have seen the stuff cheaper elsewhere as I have then I'm grateful that other people post that info to thats what we're here for - no offence meant to the original poster at all.
