Sorry to sound like a bit of a 'numpty' but how can I transfer an e mail message to 'my documents' ?
I've had confirmation sent through for a booking/payment and was going to print it out but my printer seems to be on strike !
Thought I could save it to my documents and transfer to memory stick but keep hitting a brick wall with this.
What am I doing wrong ?

Highlight the message, then either right click 'save as', or highlight go to 'File' then 'Save as', in each case giving it a suitable name and selecting a location.
Works on Thunderbird and Outlook Express, so guess it works for most things.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
Do you use web mail e.g. like Hotmail or GMail or do you receive your email via a program like Outlook? If so which one?
Can you forward the e-mail to somewhere else you have a printer e.g. a work account?
If you're really stuck you could just select and copy the e-mail text and paste it into a blank document (e.g. Word or Wordpad etc), then save it to the memory stick.0 -
Thanks bonzer and spud
I use Outlook - I'll highlight what I want and transfer it to Word.
(dont know why I didn't think of trying that)

If you use Outlook (not Outlook Express) you can simply drag it from your inbox to My Documents and it will save it as a .msg file which you can open in any version of Outlook.0

Or print it to a PDF and save that.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0

Have just done this in OE and it worked,(also dragged to desktop, so assume you can drag to anywhere), saving automatically as "Internet E-mail message", then when I clicked on the saved message it opened in OE.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0
