I am having a number of problems with Nationwide due to their inability to do very much.

I applied for a flexaccount so that I can open the ebond. They lost the first one so after a 2 week period I applied for another one. They accepted me for a cash card account so that I can open an ebond.

They sent me some documents to sign and ID to verify which I did at the branch then they had to send it to me 2 more times as they said they lost the documents sent by the branch. The reason why they sent it 2 times rather than once is that some of the informtaion was missing on the first forms.

They seem to have found the stuff that the branch sent as when I went to the branch on Wednesday the customer service staff member told me my application was approved.

Now they have found the other application. I have one complete application for the flexaccount another incomplete one.

I got a cashcard today but I still have a temporary account. When can I sign up for full account? How can I sgin up? Nationwide are not exactly helpful.

I would like them to cancel the other application. How do I go about doing it? It says on the cash card letter that there was going to be a leaflet explaining what kind of card I have and there is no leaflt.

The online secure message service told me to use their help menu which never answers the question I ask.

    It takes time.

If you are opening a flexaccount or any current account, unless you go direct to branch it can take time.

You should just tell them there is duplicate application - they will sort it eventually.

Your internet account will take time open too - that requires them to first open the current account, you to deposit some money into, cheque will take 3-4 working days and then they have to tell you its open to use at branch. Then you wait anything from 7 to 14 days for the internet account details - you may have to specifically ask them to give you the internet access.

What do you want Nationwides Ebond for, West Brom are offering a 1 year bond with 4.3% interest and you don't have to jump through hoops to get it! No point in locking up your dosh for too long, a year or two at most.

I have got the cash card. I was told they did not do it at the branch and the whole thing is centrally done. Is there a cheque involved as it was not mentioned.

I will only put the money in for about 6 months.
