Using taped conversations

I was told that you can only use a taped conversation if they are made aware of it .does anyone know for conversations wiht other european countries such as france? thansk in advance.

You’re governed by the laws where the recording process occurs. So, if you’re making the recording in England, it comes under English law. See, What are the rules on taping phone calls? Basically, you don’t have to tell the other party, if the only people who are ever going to hear the recording are yourself, that other party or you’re just making it in case you might want to use it in a court case.古池や蛙飛込む水の音0

Yes Alfie E is right. I always thought you had to notify the other person regardless, however that isn't the case if its only for your own personnel use then you dont have too. It was on TV the other week so thats why I knew.0
