Burlingtons did not accept £60 experience voucher from lastminute charged £90 instead

For mothers day I bought my mother the Hair colour & cut experience for Burlingtons hairdressers - which costs £60 on lastminute.com and is supplied by a company called New ID Studios.
The voucher is meant to look like this according to their website:

What I actually received was a printed piece of plain A4 paper with a large advert across the bottom stating "Get haircut experience vouchers for as little as £10 at New ID." I would have sent it back for a refund at this point were it not for the fact that it arrived the day before Mother's day.
And this was only the beginning:
The voucher and website clearly states that it is for foil hair colour and cut (http://www.lastminute.com/lmn/pso/catalog/Product.jhtml?CATID=105633&PRODID=422701573).
The London Burlingtons refused to accept that this voucher was for BOTH cut and foil colour and therefore charged her an (apparently discounted) £90 for her colour and she only got a free cut!!!:mad::mad: This was only mentioned after the hair foils had been applied and they had taken her credit card details to secure the booking so she was therefore forced to pay for it. So in total £150 was spent on a hair colour and cut which would have cost less had she just walked into the hairdressers and paid on site.
It is a total disgrace that I bought my mother a treat for mothers day and she ended up paying more for it that I did . On top of this the haircut was, in my opinion, awfully executed.
After some research it appears we are not the only people with this problem, as there are many complaints on consumer forums and websites regarding this experience package.
I am quite frankly, embarrassed to tell my mother just how much I spent for this offer, because I feel as though I am responsible for the both of us being conned out of our money.
I have contacted Lastminute and ID Studios to request at least a partial refund for not receiving the service I paid for, I will post the results.

Update: after complaining to lastminute.com they spoke to Burlingtons who agreed to give us a partial refund of £90. Burlingtons themselves and New ID Studios completely ignored our emails and calls. If it wasn't for lastminute.com we would not have received a penny.
Never again would I trust Burlingtons. Awful customer service and awful hairdressers. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
