Refund concert tickets

in Credit cards
Hi all
I've purchased 4x family tickets for the sonisphere concert through the offical ticket agency. Shortly after purchasing these tickets Sonisphere Festivals announced that children under 12 go free.
I purchased the tickets through seetickets and tried to contact them, but their not getting back to me. I note that they state refunds will not be given unless the details of the event are significantly changed. i would hope that free entry instead £157 is a significant change.
Any ideas. If i cant get a reply can i go to my credit card company?
Many thanks
Jax

This is a difficult one.
At point of sale you would have had to pay for the kids so your card company will probably say that you ordered tickets - you got tickets - so where is the loss to you?
I know that the prices has changed now but this is true of any commercial transaction - you could buy a television say today and find it £100 cheaper (or more expensive) next week - this does not mean that you are entitled to a refund.
At the end of the day I feel it is the concert organisers who should come to an agreement with you.0 -
It's bad luck but there's nothing to claim back here. Prices of good change - just have to grin and bear it unfortunately.0

thanks guys for the info, kind of assumed this was the case.
They do advise you can resell the tickets on officalboxoffice.com however, tickets are not due to be sent out till nearer the date so, unable to sell.

You should check the retailers T&Cs as they may do a price promise so to speak and you may be able to use themselves as the comparitor.
Always worth a check0 -
You made a contract and now want to break it. Unless you have the permission of the other party you can do nothing.0

sorry but thats atrocious!
how have they 'just decided' that kids go free?! sounds like a company that have no idea of what they are doin. of course u deserve a refund.
