Perfect Wedding Present?

Hi
Looking for a little advice.
We have been invited to wedding reception of a work colleague who is getting married on Sat but we will not be able to go.
All of my other work colleagues who are going have decided that they would put £10 per head (£20 per couple) in a card for her which I am happy to do - one other colleague who cant make it is just giving her money in a card - I think £30. The problem I have is that I mucked up my budget this week and dont get paid till 28/3 - I do have £20 to put in the card but this would leave us with no spare cash in case we need anything (petrol etc) - I do have enough food in the house - maybe something for Sunday lunch as DSD is a fussy eater.
Do you think it would be okay/acceptable/appropriate to leave giving her card until the 28th or should I go with my other colleagues
Thanks in advance
Ang
