Hi, I have been to Alcatraz a few times, it is one of the best clubs in Helsinki, They actually have toilets around the bar where you can sit and have a beer and also they have side rooms like prison cells with bars on the doors where you can go and sit in peace. The best thing about the club is that most of the pole dancers are Russian and they are a lot better looking than the Finish girls!
I would not advise it as a place to go for a family trip though. It is better for a night out with the boys.

Also I do not remember having to book in advance!
    Hope this helps.

Sorry but I have read some of your previous posts and wonder if you are a wind up merchant lacking any sense of humour

The visitor centre in SF is excellent and you can book all sorts via their website. We booked tickets to see the Giants baseball game.

    Any other must see tips?

where are you staying in SF ? how long for ?

as there are many tour companies in the Fishermans wharf area .

Try a walk over the golden gate bridge , then down into sausolito and ferry back to the wharf.

A few nice walks in muir woods

    lombard street

coit tower.... although never went ourselves

the marina area was lovely & lively , had a great vietnamese meal there

& don't forget , to have some clam chowder in a bread bowl !

napa valley tour comes highly recommended from everyone who's been

pick up some of the street side magazines/maps/guides - most of them contain discount vouchers for everything from ghiradellis chocolate to Levis jeans.

Just came back from SF and today was my 1st day back at work ......depressed

    Just a bit of advice,

I went to Alcatraz and it was the morning after a long flight and sinking about 12 pints the night before somewhere in San Francisco.
The morning i went i had to drive about 300 mi and i really rushed Alcatraz, the bird i went with will no doubt be reading this and completely agree with me, i saw it in a jet lagged and hung over rushed stupor, i wish now id have given it the time it deserved.
