I was going to open an A-L account today to take advantage of the £100 incentive. But noticed that I need to use their direct debit switching system to get the £100.

I don't have any direct debits, so can I still get the £100?

You can sign up on most charity websites to give £2 a month or something. They will set that up as a direct debit. So sign up for one, wait a couple of weeks for your bank to receive the instruction and hey presto!
