car no claims bonus, proof.

in Insurance & life assurance
my insurance policy is due for renewal on 25th may 2009, with nig , the renewal for this policy is £200 cheaper elsewhere, but they require proof of my ncb, 9 years, how do i do this i have been through all my certificates etc and cant find anything with this on, i insure through at broker at present who couldnt give a monkeys.
what can i do

    your current insurer can provide this for you - ask them for it.

    it doesn't even need to be on paper; my new insurers phoned my old ones for proof after I lost my renewal letter and it was all fine!

    Your renewal schedule is your proof of the amount of NCB. Once you apply for the insurance online etc, they will ask you to send this as proof. Alternatively, phone up NIG and tell them that you have yet to receive your renewal schedule. You will get this again in 4 working days and that can be your proof.
