amazon selling help

I have sold a high value item on amazon (£300)
I received an email from the buyer yesterday asking me to dispatch it quickly before he went to Nigeria. Alarm bells starting ringing.
I contacted amazon help who have advised me that:
I am being asked to dispatch to a uk address, not a foreign one.
the payment is there ready for movement to my account
the order is there on my account.
Basically, that they thought it was ok.
Am I safe to send this to the UK address?
My knowledge of selling on amazon, is limited, and i don't want to find myself in a bad situation, i would rather just refund him and start again if that is going to be the case.
Is my payment now safe, evern though it is still only in my amazon account, and not yet my bank account?
Just looking for some advice please/

Is it definitely in your Amazon account and is the address you are sending it to in the UK? If so it appears to be a valid purchase but I also would have some worries.
I would try and get Amazon to confirm via email in witing that this is safe to despatch and of course make sure you use the correct postage service and keep your tracking for a minimum of 6 months.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I don't see the problem - the money is in your account, the address is in the UK. Not everyone with Nigerian connections is a scammer!Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

I didnt say they were, nor assume that. As I said, I am an inexperienced seller so just wanted some advice, and £300 is money I can't afford to mess around with.
I have refunded him now anyway so if he is genuine he still has time to buy elsewhere before going away

I'm just mystified why you didn't bank the money and send him the item!Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

If you have doubts I would just refund the money and relist the item.0
