CGT and shares..

No I'm just thinking long term...i.e you build up a portfolio over 10 or 20 years then when you retire,you need to sell shares which may have appreciated considerably.Investors like you shouldn't need to worry about CGT - unless you are buying/selling and making a significant sum of money under 12 months, CGT should be no threat.
you might even run out of tax years in which to sell them..!0
