Natwest 2 yr fixed vs 5yr fixed

I am buying a property with a 15% deposit and deciding whether to opt for Natwest's 2yr fixed at 5.29% or 5 year FTB rate of 5.99%
I'm torn - I think that in 2 years, I'll still be able to get a competitive rate and fix for longer then if need be without having to pay over the odds over the next 2 years.
Thoughts please people!

Hi Mustang,
2 years from now, I would hope we are at least a year into "recovery" I would not be expecting to find a cheap fix IF inflation heads north as is expected, when we do start to get out of our current mess.
Choice is yours, but I would not want to be having to fix again in two years.
By the way, any fees for the products? - if there are dont forget you will have to pay them again on the 2 yr fix.0 -
mustang the FTB rate for natwest 5yr deal is 5.49% well it was when i applied 2 weeks ago.
Any yes i agree 5yrs fix is the way to go.0
