Hi all,
Thinking of buying a freeview box. Amazon have 2 cheap ones:
A DIGIHOME DVB915 for £29.99 with 4.5 stars out of 5.
Or Bush DFTA1/7 for £32.31 but with no reviews.
The Bush caught my eye (hahaha ooooh pardon) becuase it says it has 2 scart sockets, but I'm not sure what they are. Does it mean 2 outputs or 1 input and 1 output (e.g. can run a DVD player through it and save a scart socket on the TV).
Anyone got any ideas as to which to get? I've got 1 scart socket free on my TV at the moment so the Bush would have benefits, but not if it's a rubbish box. Can't find reviews through google becuase it just comes up with places to buy it.

One scart socket goes to your TV and another one can go to your video to record the programs.
2 scart sockets are best but I would pay a little more and get a better free view box, pay something like £50 and get a pioneer.
Mother in law has a cheap £30 and has had nothing but trouble, I choose the pioneer one for my dad and it’s been brilliant so far.
Buy cheap and you get problems, pay a little more and you don’t.I'm not poor i'm just skint0 -
Cheers guys. I'm manged to find out that the 2 scarts on the bush one are both outputs - one is composite and one is RGB (which my TV can take at 50Hz).
I'll have a look at the more expensive ones. Want to spend as little as possible, but still get one that works.0 -
The Humax Fox F2 is a well regarded box if a little expensive, £62 from Hughes Direct http://ws1.which.hughesdirect.co.uk/showproduct.php?cda=showproduct&pid=HUM-F2-FOX
I use a Humax 8000/80T PVR which is very good.
There is also a Humax forum at Radio and Telly, which is nice.
