This challenge used to run every week (thanks to Moozie and PAP) but I have not seen it in a while so I hope no one minds but I need this to keep me on track ...

Hello everyone a010.gif. Welcome to the weekly spend challenege. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.

On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track.

This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever. clapping.gif

Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anything else. Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!! Moozie x

Good luck everyone.:T

OK the situation is getting serious now, I need to have a green week desperately. So I am going for £30 again this week and I am taking the cards out of my purse, cash only think it is the only way I am going to make it. I have just got into really bad spending patterns.

Congrats to the greens and purples you have done fabulously (hangs head in shame).

I think cash is the only way to go. I haven't used a card in weeks and to see all that lovely cash disappearing is heartbreaking!!

Totally failed this week as ended up spending £30 on petrol on the new car, as i wont have anything spare from my budget next week. Hopefully it will last two weeks  So i'm declaring £36.75 /£20 way over budget. Oh can i set £20 for next week too, thanks pointy.

    Hey PP and everyone else,

Have declared my total, (it stayed at £9.99 as my dad is ill so we didnt take him out for dinner)

Forgot to post nexts week budget which is £20 again, actually no, i'm going to make it £10. Haven't really got a lot on, so should be do-able.

    Good luck everyone.

    Morning all!

Can I please go for £20 this week as that's all I have left in my purse!

I will also be buying groceries, but there is still money left in that budget so it won't be included here :D

I am red for last week

Hi all! Last week definately a red for me - I have no idea by how much but I know it was!

Hmm, I am debating whether to join this week but I have £17 in my purse and SHOULD be getting a PO for £17.50 so can I go for £35 as I need to buy more holiday bits!

    Good luck all!
