Selling Books

Hi
Just wanted to pick your brains please
I have just had a baby and need the space so have to get rid of (most of!) my books. They are mostly paperbacks - James Herbert, Stephen King types - and I have about 80 in total. I was thinking about just giving them to the local charity shop but wondered whether it would be worth doing a car boot sale. I don't have too much else to sell so would it be worth my while?
Is there any other way to get rid of books for money? I have thought about ebay but it will be an awful lot of work (and as I say, I have a new baby so don't have much spare time!) for probably not much in return.
Many thanks for any advice.

To be honest books from authors like James Herbert and Stephen King are rarely worth more than a f ew pence so you might even struggle paying a pitch fee at a car boot sale. They are the books that I would charity shop.
However, as a rough guide to whether they are worth trying to sell check the following three places.
1) Completed sales on ebay, have they been listed previously and have other sellers managed to sell the titles
2) Amazon, are they 1p novels, if so forget it as without pro membership you would make a loss on them
3) Greenmetropolis, how many copies are listed, more than 10 or so and they will just sit there for ever.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi
Thanks, that's kind of what I thought. It makes my life easier, I can just take them to the charity shop without feeling that I could be getting something for them!
