It is effing 6:15am and I am awake.
This is crap.
We have a prenatal class today - a full day, two hours of babycare in the morning and then the birth/breastfeeding/whatever else in the afternoon. Apparently there are only one or two other couples signed up though, which should be reasonable, and we get a lunch break.
Ikea yesterday, the whole trip including hot dog break took over 5 hours! We bought a changing table and a bunch of storage stuff, a baby bath, a pile of those safety things for doors, a wine rack (I know I had the 99p one but it's still too small!), some toys and a changing table mat thing that looks like a frog. And then we got to the checkout, which has a sign above it: bar/karte (cash or cards). First she insisted we sign up for a family card on the spot, saving us a whole €4.50 on a €500+ bill, and then it transpires that they only take EC cards! So I had to waddle at speed to the ATM and return with all the money I had left for the rest of the month. The flatpacked stuff will be delivered on Tuesday, we don't have a car so were limited in what we could bring back.
I got up at 5:30 and my feet were still killing me. I was supposed to get a pedicure yesterday as well as last weekend but I didn't get back in time, so I've just butchered my own toenails (can't reach them properly, they look like they got caught in a lawnmower) and moisturised/rubbed them. They still hurt.
Today's major tasks:
prenatal class
pick up a paintbrush
paint the pantry
find out about the dead electronics in the Keller and arrange rid of them

My sympathys Sugar... I cut my toenails the night before last because I was afraid of lacerating myself with them... Ha, I was getting the pedicure because my OH saw my feet and said he'd buy me one. Which I took to be code for "your feet are utterly hideous, do something about them immediately".
