Morning ladies and bumps.... I had a horrid evening I popped to tesco last night a big store, I was working away yesterday so an hour away from home, and I fainted at the checkout... cried and looked a right wally in front of everyone, then cried and drove all the way home. I felt dizzy the other week at swimming but managed to sit down and avoid fainting. Has anyone else had this happen? The midwife did say to expect it because I have low blood pressure, it was really scary xReceived £2,626.00 in PPI -2013:j

Morning all, I haven't caught up. I'm itching to - but there's not enough hours in the day now that my little girl has arrived!
I've almost written my Birth Story but I'm not sure whether anyone would want to read it as things didn't go quite to plan and we nearly lost her. I ended up having a EMCS under general anaesthetic.
Anyway, Leila came through the sunroof unscathed at 6.22am on Saturday 16th May weighing 7lb 6oz.
Hope those aren't too big!
She's an absolute delight. I'm shattered but loving every minute of it. Breastfeeding is the one thing I wish was going better. I can only get her to latch on on the one side so I'm expressing every 2 hours from the other side in an attempt to keep the milk coming until I can get to the local breastfeeding drop-in early next week.
Hope everyone else is ok, looking forward to reading back and finding any other birth announcements!don't blow out other people's candles to make your own burn brighter...0 -
nancmat - sorry for poking my nose into a pregnancy thread! I guess I'm still drawn to pregnancy talk although I've had my twins nealry 4 months ago now!!
Just wanted to say about the fainting. I have almost fainted a couple of times in pregnancy. One time that sticks in my mind (as it was horrid) was in a supermarket and we had been walking round for about 30 mins. I was feeling quite weak and a bit light headed, then all of a sudden I felt a lot worse, I grabbed hold of my DP and the trolley and blackness went over my eyes and my hearing went all muffled. Very scary. Luckily there was a cafe only a few steps away so i went to sit down and they got me a drink. But I later found out at my hosptial check up that it was most likely low blood pressure.
If I were you, don't spend long periods standing up, drink water regularly and make sure you have something to snack on in your handbag. It happened to me because I hadn't eaten since lunch (and it was about 6pm) and I'd walked round for too long.0 -

Congratualtions Greent!
Mrs Moc - You don't bring the thread down at all, we've all done our fair share of whinging and to be honest sometimes your posts have put my moaning in perspective for me, i think you're being incredibly level headed and very brave
Glam - I have those tubs that you get from the Chinese and i get mine from the £1 shop, 10 per pack.
Sami - Try throwing some oats in your next spag bol, bulks it out a bit and it gives it it a lovely rich sauce.
Sugarspunsister - Leila is gorgeous, i love the pics! I can't speak for everyone else but i'd still like to hear your birth story as i'd rather I knew about all eventualities than to be caught out when it comes to labour day with mine!
right now i've caught up - Physio yesterday gave me a support belt yesterday but the baby hates it, he spends the whole time i'm wearing it kicking my in the groin in protest which puts me in more pain that i started in so i think i may have to stop wearing it...
I am seeing my friend for lunch today, and I'm all excited about a sunny weekend!0 -
