Problem with Windows Mail (Vista)

Hi All,
Can anyone give me some advice on a problem I have been having in the last few days with my email account? When I go into Windows Mail all my e mails come in and I have a read through and delete what I don't want and keep what I do want. Then I go to my junk mail folder to check that. When I click back to the Inbox all of the e mails that are "read" have disappeared! I don't know where they go, certainly not into the deleted items folder, and I don't want them to go, that's why I never deleted them! Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? I suppose I can move all of the e mails I want to keep into various folders but some of them are not applicable to my folders, I just don't want to delete them immediately, iyswim?
TIA

Doh!!! Don't worry, I had a view applied "hide all read messages". Feel like a prize plonker now:o

I've always found that the best way to deal with a computer problem is to start to talk to someone about it.
Invariably I will, within half a second, go "doh", slap my forehead & realise what the solution is0
