Morning Techies,
For 2 days since moving all my computer equipment around my desk (may or may not have a bearing on the problem) the computer has been running slower on the internet.
Have done a full spyware & virus scan - results clean
Defragmented
Got rid of a couple of unwanted programmes
Spent 40 mins on phone to BT Internet (in Calcutta) last night who cleaned things up, checked speed etc, could find no obvious problems & suggested I turn the router off overnight & start up again this am.
Still no change.
Any suggestions please?

If you just pulled the router cable from the phone socket it may have upset the BT profiling system. You should power down the router before pulling the phone cable. This will sort itself out in a little while.
Check what the BT tester says your IP profile is. This tester is tempremental (the technical term being "crap" just like most of the BT based ADSL system) and may require a few goes before it works at all.
