Does anyone have any suggestions of places to visit? We are off to Brittany on Monday. Can anyone recommend a walk?

Loads to do in West Brittany....Quimper Cathedral, Pont Aven, Concarneau (could all be done in 1 day at a push). Benodet and surrounding area have great coast and beaches. Oldest town of Locronan, Coastal walks around the Crozon Peninsula, or great beaches. Brest Castle and Oceanapolis, long walks on the Nantes Brest Canal - Chateaulin is a good stop. Have a great time, we're going early June. cazwasere :hello:

Sounds nice, especially Crozon Peninsula. We are not staying as far west as I thought. We are actually staying in Carantec, near Roscoff. Just got to persuade my brother that it is worth setting off early one morning.0

From Roscoff (well worth a visit in itself) you can do a boat trip to the Ile de Batz which is beautiful. You can explore the island which is car free and there is a beautiful botanic garden to visit. The coastline near to where you are staying is superb and there is lots to see and do in your area so you may not have to travel far to experience what Brittany has to offer. Lots of info here...

There are some great seafood restaurants in Roscoff, and on a couple of the peninsula's east of this area. We've yet to expore the northern coast in much detail so let us know if you can recommend any interesting places to go - we have a house in finistere and are always looking for places to recommend to renters, and for our trips across. Have a great time. cazwasere :hello:

I seem to recall there are tropical gardens in Roscoff which are worth a visit - sorry just realised this has been mentioned above!
A nice walk is Huelgoat (south of Morlaix on D14(?)). Morlaix is also a pretty town to visit - medieval.
Going round the coast from Roscoff towards Perros Guirec - this is known as the Rose Granite coast and is a nice area to visit.
Hope you have a great time0 -
Thanks for the sugggestions. We are just about to set off now. I hope that when I get back I will have a few places to recommend for a change.0
