Hi i need help urgent please

hi i had a lodger stay at my house. she ask a person to post her something not sure what ok via the in -net she got freinds with someone but to this mine address . then out of the blue the woman phoned saying is my lodger in i said no... she dont live here no more, lady on the phone said she was coing with the police and had proff of postageof a item that she sent and can take court action over it. what can i do.. i still said she dont live here and i dont know where she has gone to..but the woman still rings at mad house asking for my lodger. i dont want her to come to my address or get the police what can i do

    i had a old freind live at my house for some time ok..
    then she moved out .. ( dont know where )
    she got some one of the internet to lend her something ok.rec post.
    now the person who lent it keeps phoning me up asking to send it back .. and told her she moved out.. and then going to get the police here...what can i do. i dont A HAVE THE ITEM
    B . DONT KNOW WHERE SHE IS.
    C . DONT WANT HER TO TURN UP AT MY ADDRESS
    WHAT CAN I DO

    Yes not much of a friend.

    Personally I would explain that you are happy to talk to the police if they call as you can then tell them that the person being traced has not lived at your address for x amount of time and that you have no forwarding address.

    i would tell her to send the police then sounds to me she is trying to call your bluff and frighten you into giving her the item which i might add is intimidation!!! i bet you she wont turn up with the police and even if she did you have nothing to hide so why worry you havent done anythig wrong and i think youll find the police have far more important things to do than escort a deranged woman to a property to pick up an item that is no longer there you can also tell her politly if she doesnt stop harrassing you then you will yourself be contacting the police with reguards to a harrassment order having said all of that i think its terrible of your friend to do this to you lets hope you get it all sorted out good luck xx
