Hello,
I would like to set-up a small PC home security/video surveillance network.
I am thinking to buy and install ~3 wireless cameras and find some software which allows to control them and/or record movements.

Has anyone done it? Can you recommend some software or cameras which are fit for doing this (and do not cost over the moon)?

Also do you know of any specialist forum where more details can be discussed on this topic? Before buying I would like to have opinions on range, night visiility etc, so if a forum for home security (or even particular software packages) exists I would appreciate your help in finding it!

do a google for X10 or home automation, and you'll find loads of stuff..

This is quite snazzy, but expensive..
