Bank Charges Claim On Hold Or Not

Hi
Can anyone help me please my claim has been dealt with by a company since 2007 and I have been told a number of times that it is on HOLD but my question is this that company has now gone down the tube is my claim still on HOLD and will the bank contact me if & when the claim is finalized. Or do I have to go back the start again?
