Help required please....
I have recently bought an Acer 3003wmli and was bought Tiger Woods 2005 golf game for my birthday to play on it. It will not work !!! I have spoken to EA games who said that graphics card it is not compatible with this game but did not offer much help other than this. He did suggest downloading a more recent driver, but the one already on it was 2005 so he said this should be ok.
Is it worth looking for a new card ? how much do they cost ? are they easy to fit or will I have to take it to be fitted ? what do I need to look for in a graphics card ?
Any help appreciated
Thanks
Paul

That particular laptop has integrated graphics as part of the chipset - it'll do fine for 2d applications but not 3d, e.g. games that require a decent bit of graphics processing power
You won't be able to ugrade it - its not like a desktop pc where there are slots available to 'plug' in upgrades.0 -
How recently did you buy it?
Might be worth trying for a refund and re-buying a laptop witha more powerful graphics card.Fortune's always hiding, I've looked everywhere......0 -

Bought it about 4 weeks ago from ebuyer, it has a 128mb shared graphics card which I thought would be more than enough for game play, I guess not in this case. It does load certain parts of the game and I can load all the graphics on the practice section no probs. When I try to play the full game it freezes or does not load. I have changed the bios to 128mb instead of 64mb but still no joy, any other ideas appreciated.
