Leaky roof ??

Sorry, you'll have to read the terms and conditions of the warranty. They're all different, and always have things that are specifically not covered. Wear and tear is usually excluded, but as to whether your particular problem is wear and tear or a fault, it's difficult to say without knowing the details. Do you have a trusted mechanic who could have a quick look and give his opinion ? That may give you a good starting point. I'm not particularly familiar with soft-tops, but it may be a relatively cheap and simple seal that needs replacing - or it could be something much more expensive :-(0

The seal probably needs treating with some sort of compound. Try the Peugot forums on the internet.0

Tell the dealer to sort the car out, is what I sugest.
Under the SOGA the dealer must make sure that the car is fit for what it is intended to do. Now he could argue and say "its a convertible, so technically it doesn't need a roof"
However, the 206 is classed as a Coupe/Convertible. So in the eyes of the law you, the customer could argue saying it's a coupe - so it should have a roof, which is free from leaks.0 -
This is a common fault on the Peugeot CCs.........both leaks and sticking roofs.
As suggested, maybe join one of the peugeot owners forums on the net and get some advice - peugeot gti . net is a very good one.
Warranties vary from dealer to dealer, and its amazing what they class as wear and tear! Personally, I would try pushing the issue with the dealer and see where you get.0 -
i have just read the terms and conditions which are vague to say the least!! what is covered as surely everything is deemed wear and tear? I shall call him myself but could do with a little bit more ammo of what my rights are !!0

have you looked at/serviced the seals
people have problems, but when asked they have done none of the required checks0 -
i am not asking how to fix it !! i only want to know what is included in a warranty?0

Billy1, if that is your stance, read yor t's&c's. Every warranty is different, and there are over 10 major warranty suppliers to the used car dealer market, and they are all different. Read your paperwork. This will also save you going to and from the dealer. If you read it and see if it is, or isn't covered you will now to pester them or not. If its no covered, you will end up wasting theirs and your time. Also check the Maintenance schedule for your car (normally part of the same book as your service history). If the seals are part of any service schedule, it could be classed as a wear and tear part. Believe it or not, some convertibles, do have seal checking and replacement in this. This makes it a servicable wear and tear item like brakes, tyres, exhaust etc, which you will find your warranty does not cover.
If your warranty terms are unclear on this issue, contact the waaranty supplier, NOT the dealer, as this is all the dealer will do. Will save some time. All the dealer does is sell the warranty on the behalf of the warranty company, and when repairs occur, claim the costs from the warranty company.
Hope this helps.Best Regards,
