Have taken own crisps and sweets/popcorn into cinema. Have also taken hot food like burgers/kfc.I hate migraines.0

I have to say sitting near someone in a packed cinema who is eating a burger etc is horrible. The smell is gross. (sorry Cookiemonster!) We had lots of complaints and then starting stopping people bringing them in, they always ate them before they got to the screen.Norn Iron club member - 2650

I paid £13 to see "Yes Man" - the Jim Carrey movie in Leicester Square in London. The theatre itself was nothing better than any of the cinemas in Belfast. Complete rip off.
The Movie House on Dublin Road is great and it's locally owned, which makes me want to support it over the likes of Storm and the Odeon. Crazy Tuesdays £3 (?) and Orange 2 for 1 on Wednesdays. The rest of the time they're still cheaper than the Odeon etc and THEY'RE LOCALLY OWNED!0 -
storm is very overpriced and the facilities arnt that great, used to go to movie house dublin road a lot but have found myself going to odeon a lot more the seats are really comfy my only gripe is they dont do hot nuts lol0

Storm cinema is good for VIP tickets - £10 a ticket but in my opinion worth it! Nice recliner chairs, only 20 people in one screen, free coffee and free popcorn and drinks refills (just buy small at start and keep getting refills)
I must agree though prices are a little high given the money struggle at the minute - they are one of the few places not making deals to get people in to spend their hard earned cash!
I was shocked that neither Storm nor Lisburn Omniplex dont accept orange wednesdays - whats the point in having it if we cant use it at our own local!
Also lived in England for 6 months and their prices are far worse so dont mind the ticket prices over here, infact my partner still thinks its a bargain over here (moved here with me a few yrs ago)Life is what you make it.0 -
I'll second the VIP tickets at storm! If ur going to go as a couple and get all the popcorn, drinks, hot nuts etc the VIP works out as cheap as you get the free refills on the drinks n pop corn, plus the seats are larger and way more comfy!
The only deal that I know storm do is on a Tuesday when tickets are 1/2 price.:j Norn Iron Club Member No. 343 :j0 -
kids club all tickets £1 at storm as i said in seperate post0

I think that the Odeon is a lot more expensive than Storm. I booked to go and see My Bloody Valentine 3d- they have a booking charge and a surcharge for it being a 3D screen. £19.20 for an adult and a student altogether! Definitely won't be back there
Moviehouse is great esp the one in glengormley, all the staff are so friendly0 -
As I would have to drive to the cinema I think I will be taking advantage of the Free Parking at Cityside and go to the Movie House there0

Lisburn has free parking but seats arent as comfy as stormLife is what you make it.0
