Sold PS3 on ebay

My partner has sold my PS3 on ebay on behalf of me. However this is where the problem starts or maybe I am paranoid.

They have been a member since 3rd november 2008 on ebay. They have one feedback which was left by my boyfriend. My boyfriend sold it for 170 pounds & P&P buy it now. Its going to a childrens home and to be honest im a bit worried.

What is the best way of sending it etc please?

Thank you :o

give them a call if worried. Best way is to send via special delivery.
    Nice to save.

It must go fully tracked with a signature available, so if using Royal Mail the only option is Special delivery.

There will be couriers that are cheaper, see the long courier thread, but make sure you have enough insurance and a guarantee of a signature on delivery.

lastly, only send to the address shown on the paypal transaction receipt in your account where it states 'OK to send'.

Oh, and the obvious question, this is a UK childrens home isn't it, not one in Nigeria?

Definitely send it by courier. It's essential you get a signature from the buyer, otherwise they could do a paypal chargeback... and you're over £170 down (very cheap by the way...you could probably have gotten over £200 for it).

I'd recommmend Parcel Force, but there'll be people along to disagree with that soon, because of the price :p

Do parcelforce guarantee a signature on delivery that is visible online? I seem to recall this was a problem with them when paypal changed the rules last year.

For items over £150 paypal don't just need tracking, they need a signature that can be viewed online.

Thanks for your replies. Maybe I am paranoid but I feel sick

I have been on my boyfriends ebay account reading messages. They have 1 feedback left from my boyfriend. And reading through the messages they live in the childrens home and asked for a tracking number when it had only been paid 5 minutes before hand. And asking if it will be delivered tomorow:confused:

I've been on my boyfriends email address also. He has no emails off paypal saying he has been paid and I dont know his password to login to paypal. And on a message the buyer asked if they could pay through the send option on paypal. Then another message it said can you tick the box where it says they have paid as it didnt show up.

My boyfriend has gone post it I cant get intouch with him or go on his account to check its 100% legit.

Thanks for all the responses. I just hope he sends it the correct delivery as I cannot get in touch with him

    Thanks again :o

Then as long as that is the address that paypal gave when you check your b/fs paypal account and it has gone fully tracked with a signature available you will be fine. Please keep the special delivery (or other postal receipt) very safe for 6 months as a credit card claim for fraudulent use can take that long to come through. Put it in an envelope and tuck it by the PC somewhere and don't lose it.
