CALLSURE Call Redirection?

Hi has anyone had any dealings with these? I have posted on another thread but thought this title more specfic for the query. I have called them again and I am ensure that all they do is provide the same call redirection as BT just cheaper (and I don't need to keep the old line active) - I take my contract with BT to the new number (old one on different exchange hence problem) and they port the old number from BT to them for a fee of £20 and then for £3 a month (and call charges f 1p to a landline and 10p to a mobile) they will redirect calls from the old number to any other specified number, mobile or landline, which can be changed whenever. Does this seem right??

It certainly sounds technically possible and, in your circumstances, a good solution to your problem.
Would you be tied to a specific contract?Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
I didn't actually ask that, although I should expect so?0

SIPGate should be able to do this without the £3/month fee. They charge 1.19p/min to redirect to a UK landline and 9.9p/min to a UK mobile (international redirection is also possible). You also have the option to use an Internet telephone to receive the calls directly, with no charges at all. Sign-up is free (including allocation of a new phone number) but I don't know how much they would charge to port a number from BT. There is no tie-in - it works on a pre-pay basis.
I have been using SIPGate for some time and find their service very good.
