...and it almost seems the same advert, word for word! (well, 'almost seems' is pushing it, try, 'it's the same advert'.

Still, free enterprise and all that, whilst there are enough people with too much money around.... ;)

I'm starting to think about selling mine. the only reason I don't is because I don't know if these cars are stolen, counterfeit, etc. and could get me into trouble.

I bought 3 at the end of 2006 when they were around then. Use 1 when i feel the need for Mcdonalds, never ever been refused. Sold one last year on Ebay for a nice profit and will be selling the 2 I have left at some point this month I think.

    They work a treat

I saw some of these last year & I spoke to a friend who was a manager at MD's, he said he had "never heard of them" & it was probably a scam.

Either way, I don't think I would pay £500 for clogged arteries! :D

The irony of McDonalds referring to themselves as "restaurants"....

I've had better quality and more nutritious food from roadside caravans, and generally better surroundings as well.

Chav-magnets and council estate cuisine IMO.

I was at an event last year and met up with quite a senior guy in McDonalds. During drinks I queried the fact that McDonalds called themselves restaurants... it went completely over his head, he just didn't get it:rolleyes: He actually asked me to explain what I meant:confused: I explained they were actually fast food outlets... nope he wasn't having it. They were restaurants:rotfl:

You are entitled to your opinions, but regarding them calling themselves "restaurants": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Restaurant#Types_of_restaurants

"A restaurant is a retail establishment that serves prepared food to customers. Service is generally for eating on premises, though the term has been used to describe take-out establishments and food delivery services. The term covers many types of venues and a diversity of styles of cuisine and service."

"As of 2006, there are approximately 215,000 full-service restaurants in the United States, accounting for $298 billion, and approximately 250,000 limited-service (fast food) restaurants, accounting for $260 billion, according to the 2006 U.S. Industry & Market Outlook by Barnes Reports."

The dictionary doesn't appear to contradict McDonald's either...

It may tick the right semantic boxes, but restaurant indicates a much higher class of establishment to me.
