Hi, Can someone explain how to open a jpeg etc when it is an attachment in an email. I have plenty of software (Corel Draw and so on) which will open them in normal circumstances. How does one permanently create an association with a programme to view these attachments (without saving them first).
Thanks Mark
Thanks Mark

Ian's got a point, but if you have a fairly up-to-date mail program it will automatically prevent you from opening exe files as email attachments.
To associate .jpg with one of your programs in XP, right-click any jpg file on your machine and select Open With and then Choose Program. The next dialogue box will ask you to Browse for a program, and you should tick the box saying Always use this Programme to open these files.
Now when you double click a jpg or a jpg attachment it should open in this program. However it is odd that no program has this association already - perhaps it had become corrupted?0 -
thanks to both of you, i rather agree its better to save them first, however i will have a play using your ideas, thanks again mark.....0
