Eyetoy Webcam

The previous threads for this have got dead links. Can anyone point me towards a method for making the eyetoy into a webcam?
TIA

Getting the older Eyetoy (the rectangular black one pictured below with the horizontal strakes) to work as a PC webcam is a doddle as driver packages can be found on the net (the link in the previous is the one that I used) It is actually a D-Link camera and has a built in microphone. I use it with Skype and it works really well.

If you have the newer silver camera pictured below you will have more problems. You can get it working but it is very involved and technical. Avoid!
