Saving Money on a BT Line

Hi, and apologies is this has been discussed previously, but i had a quick look and couldn't find anything.
I'm trying to cut back on my expences (like most people atm) and wondered if there was a low user rebate or some similar scheme with BT that anyone knows about.
I phoned them up and spoke to some guy i couldn't understand who said something about a bt basic line, but seems like its only for unemployed/benefits etc.
My situation is i am employed, and i need to keep the phone line for incoming calls and broadband , but i never use it for outgoing calls as i have a mobile contract and use skype.
Can anyone suggest any ways to save some money for me?
Cheers

Unfortunately, I don't think you can make much of a saving, particularly if it is only the BT line rental you are trying to make the saving on. Yes, you could save a pound or so if you moved your line rental to someone else, but at the end of the day I personally would rather pay a bit more for line rental to BT in case I ever had a problem with the line.
Sorry for not having anything more positive to say.0
