I ordered the book for Dad but all he's received is a lot of mail about Motability. Has anyone else had this?
I got a lot of mail about Motability yesterday and was a bit miffed; but the Accessible Britain guide arrived this morning so don't despair! It's very good and includes info about loos and car parking.C'est le ton qui fait la chanson0 -
Its a good book with some nice ideas, Have had mine about a month now. Haven't been anywhere yet as so many places require lots of walking, which I can't do and don't want to use a chair yet. But its a great book, if you have a blue badge then you should get it.I used to be me !! what happened0

Yes, they asked me when I ordered the book if I had heard of Motability and I said yes, so they said there was no need to send any info, and they still did! At least I got the book though.0

Silly question.. but does it include more "local" smaller places, or just the more national places? If that makes any sense at all! I can't travel far, but often can't be sure whether I can go out with parents more locally due to wheelchair accessibility. Seems, despite nearly the entire population of Shropshire being over 50 (bar me
) that they can't provide decent access!

It is divide in to regions, but doesn't have many places in each region! In Shropshire it's got Hoo Farm Ironbridge Gorge Museums and the RAF Museum in Cosford.C'est le ton qui fait la chanson0

Thanks! In that case I expect the book is on its way.0 -
I ordered on 16th May, have just had the motability adverts... heavy envelope so must be expensive to post
Book came today: great as a freebie, not sure if I would have paid full price for it.
I was impressed by the way it identifies different access needs eg 'mobility impaired' (walking stick), wheelchair user etcI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
