Our fantastic powershower is on the way out I think
http://www.aqualisa.co.uk/parts-store/Controls/Aquastream-thermostatic-and-manual-integral-power-shower/
Keeps pulsing the water like there is air trapped (there isn't I've run it at all settings), rather than a nice continuous stream and now standard power won't work, only boost (which uses a lot more water). It's about 5-7 years old
I've taken it apart and found one of the microswitches is faulty (this causes the normal/boost issue) and can replace this for £20 with a wiring loom spare part, but this doesn't solve the pulsing issue, the pump seems to run ok with the cover off.
I don't really want to replace the pump and the thermostatic cartridge (aka the valve - which has always dripped a very tiny amount), because that's almost the full cost of a whole replacement shower!
There are a few threads of other sites (such as https://www.howtomendit.com/answers.php?id=15021), but nothing specific, any hints/tips/ideas?
Any other tips?

Phone Aqualisa, their technical department is second to none and they will supply parts as required.
Check the guarantee, alt of their units have 10 year cover, not sure about electric units though.0 -
Just like to update this to say repairing was a simple process, replacing the microswitch loom was simple, pulsing has reduced, still get it occasionally but putting it on boost clears the "air".
Still drips a small amount when off, but only occasionally.
£20 to fix with spare part, excellent stuff!0
