oops, cut through aerial cable...

hi folks,

i managed to cut through an aerial cable running along the side of my house. is the fix simply a case of rejoining the 2 ends, and if so, how do i do it? please dont tell me i have to replace all the cable.....

Hi I run my own aerial business.If you pm me i will send you just what you require to repair it and waterproof the join.It will save you a repair/callout fee.Do not just wrap insu;lating tape as it will not be waterproof.

Hi Yep seal it with the self amalgamating tape as we use to seal connection to lnb on sky dish mate.Its totally waterproof and is as good as new and hardly any if any signal loss using the f conns and barrel connecters.

Can any of you clever blokes help? I had to buy an aerial extension reel for the bedroom telly, but there's blooming miles more cable than I need. Can I shorten it and join the plug thingy onto the cut end? Sorry to sound so girly
