    OK, so you pay £60 annual membership charge, a transaction charge of 50p/€0.75 for purchases and £2/€3 for cash withdrawals when using the card in its native currency, or a 2.75% charge when using it in a different currency. Maybe this is the exchange rate loading, or maybe there's a loading on top...?

    What do you get in return? Some sort of reward points/cashback scheme, four free flights (with lots of T&Cs, I'm sure) and free priority boarding (I think).

    It's all pretty complicated and I probably haven't grasped all the nuances of it, but my initial reaction involves the phrase "barge pole".
