Does anyone know if Virgin Atlantic or British Airways are going to have an economy class sale soon to the USA?

VS seem to have 'sales' on an almost ongoing basis, keep an eye on their website and sign up to email updates.0

Virgin are doing short-running offers to various locations throughout this year to "celebrate" their 25th anniversary. New York has already featured but doesn't mean it won't come round again - look on their website.0

No. Boston, Chicago and Havana have also come up recently (and that's just since I started checking myself). It's one destination a week, though it works for open jaws as long as it's at least one leg you're doing to that place. Currently they're on Tokyo, but I wouldn't bet against either LA or SF coming up fairly soon.0 -
I am looking for a flight to Florida and was hoping with a bank holiday coming up that there maybe a BA sale, but since the January sale they don't seem to have been targeting the economy market.0

BA traditionally has a big sale starting in September.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

I wouldn't wait to see if there's an advertised "sale" on. Generally speaking prices at the moment are pretty low almost across the board and the airlines tend to match each other as soon as one lowers a price anyway.
The exception to this is if the flights are looking like they will book up, in which case the airline won't discount if they think they can get more money to fill the remaining seats.
I would just search to see what prices are like for the dates you're looking to go as they might not be a bad price for you.0 -

No one will have a sale on Florida flights right at the start of the summer holiday season - that's commercially insane. Sales will start either when people start looking for something to do out of season or nearer the time if the airlines realise not enough people have booked and they need last-minute incentives. Either way the start of summer is the last time they'd consider it - even Ryanair hasn't had a big-fanfare sale for a while.0
