Hey SS
Sorry you don't feel on top of the world either :grouphug:
I think you've hit the nail on the head there. I remember we talked about this before. The period between payments where nothing is happening, is the worst one. I remember I had thought of putting stuff on ebay/amazon etc during the 'in between' time to help me feel like I am doing something but my plans went astray due to a certain monitor explosion
Maybe you could do something similar to keep on top of the inactive feeling?
Anyway, I hope you've snapped out of it by now and are out enjoying your fabulous car matsLeason learnt :beer:0 -

Was meant to be going out on Sunday with friends but I'm gonna give it a miss as I don't have the money.
Went night fishing yesterday and couldn't sleep and ended up thinking about this place and money as always. Anyway I just felt really really crap about my debts. Worse than I have ever felt before. I can't stand the thought that this is my life for the next 3 years so something is going to have to give.
Come August I'm gonna be banging on the MD's door at work for a well deserved payrise (will be in a better negotiating position then rather than now). If that fails then I'm gonna have to consider looking for a new job. I don't want to coz I like it where I am but I have to be earning more money. Not only coz of my debts but because for what I do I am underpayed.
I dunno whether it's just because I'm on my 'monthly cycle' so to speak where nothing has happened to my debts. All the next payments go out in about a weeks time.
Well thats my rant over for the time being!
At least the World Cup is only 2 weeks away!
Everyone (including me) who is in this situation has this feeling on a regular basis. I have even woke up in the night with panic attacks before! But we get there, and you just have to tell yourself that 3 years soon goes by (which it does!) but if you lapse now that could be 4, 5, 6 or more years!!! Then it does seem worse.0 -

Hey hun. Sorry you are feeling down - but you are doing so well about your debts, try & stay positive!!
In a weeks time you will be one step closer to being debt free. The weeks & years will fly by - the budget you have to live on, is it manageable or are you being too hard on yourself?
How much £££ would you need for Sunday? Could you "borrow" some from next months money? (It depends how badly you want to go or what the ocassion is?)
Yeah, the football to look forward to.... GREAT...!! :rotfl:0 -
Hey southern scouser!
Sorry to hear you're feeling down, I suffer with the same problem, it's usually the middle of the month that I give up. This is the first month that I have actually stuck to my budget and I feel great for it! Maybe you're being too harsh on yourself, a man has to have a social life afterall!Saving for an early retirement!0 -
Thanks guys!
Had the best night sleep last night and feel 100% better this morning! Even managed to have a shave without bleeding to death! So I'm feeling positive today and will try and keep that going for the rest of the week!
Moozie, the car mats are filthy! Might treat them to a hoovering next week!
Hey ms_l!I'm not too bothered about missing sunday to be honest. Lots of couples anyway which is even more depressing!
Still not quite got the budgeting thing sorted. Was giving myself £100 a month but I've totally blown that out of the window. I knew what was going to do me and it is the fishing! Costs a small fortune but am "trying" to do it more MSE style!0 -
