Thought I better do an update as I keep forgetting about this thread!
Maybe I should retire it!:rotfl:
Well after what seems like an eternity I have managed to get to the £10k paid off figure! Feel like I've been close for ages but never quite been there!
By the time I get paid I'll have over £450 left from last months wages to go towards all my overtime I've done over the last month which will means I can pay around an extra £1,300 towards my Capital One card!
That will bring the balance right down and I will then look for a new life of balance card as the interest on that is around 13%!
My debts as they stand today;
Egg (Limit - £500) 16.9% = £0
Capital One (Limit - £6,000) = £3,902.90
Morgan Stanley (Limit - £2,300) 5.9% = £1,989.42
American Express (Limit - £2,900) 4.9% = £2,606.48
Barclaycard (Limit - £1,950) 4.9% = £1,716.86
Tesco Loan 6.7% = £13,988.14
Total: = £24,203.800 -
More than £10k paid off, wow!!!

Thanks everyone!
I've tried twice before for the M&S card V! Am a bit wary about 'wasting' a search on them rather than someone else! Will have to see what else is on offer! :think:0 -

Thanks oops!
Are you still on to be debt free by Crimbo? :j0 -
I tried recently for a nationwide cc to take on holiday but was declined for 'adverse credit rating' Not sure why that is I've always been up to date and my experien report looks fine apart from 1 default in 2004. I was also rejected for a capital one 0% card a few months ago but given an AMEX lob card. I really wish finance companies would be clearer and honest and tell us EXACTLY why we have been declined!Debtfree JUNE 2008 - Thank you MSE:T0

Would be nice wouldn't it?
I got rejected for M&S but thought sod it and applied for the Barclaycard straight away and got accepted!
I don't know why they just can't say, 'sorry but you owe too much' or 'you're balance to limit ratio is too high' or whatever! :wall:0
