SS- if I'd paid that much off in that little time I'd be dead chuffed!! You just keep it up (phnar!) ...debt going down, England still in the footie, you going to the footie, hoards of women after you...what more could a guy want eh (except possibly 29,000 in your case!)...if its any consolation I'm down 35,000 .... at least we're on the right track eh!

Just spent £49.11 on bloody petrol!

So I've got exactly £21.42 to last me unitl next Thursday! Wouldn't normally be a problem but I'm out on Sunday for a lads night in/out! Few beers then computer games, pizza, and more beers! ;)

That in its self will probably be £20 odd plus I really need to get my hair cut next week as that will be 3 weeks since I had it done!

I was gonna sort of cheat my budget by only getting £20 worth of petrol but thats just a case of Peter robbing Paul!

Got about £230 of credit card payments due out in the next 2 days so that will bring me close to the £28,000 mark and will mean I have reduced my debt by more than £6,000 in 9 months! :T

I just makes me feel ill to think what I could have spent that £6,000 on! I could have traded my car in a brought a brand new one! Could have gone on safari in Africa and had a couple of weeks at the Burj-al-Arab in Dubai, could have had more than 12 weeks on a fishing holiday, could afford Sky so I could watch all the live footy, could have even bought enough car mats to last me a life time! :(

Well done so far! £6000 in 9 months..WOW!

I know what you mean about all that you culd have done with the £6000 though...been thinking that kind of thing a lot since starting to tackle the debt mountain BUT when it's paid off just think what you'll do with all the extra money you'll have....

    Well done Southern Scouser!!!

Just think it's not just £6000 that you have paid off but £6000 + interest saved (probably well over £700)

Never been to Dubai, another place to add to the list it seems....
    Saving for an early retirement!
