Have you checked Hotelopia? It's owned by TUI, go thro Quidco - 12% discount and there is a 10% code on here somewher. We went thro' them in April when they had a 'glitch' and paid £44 half board 4* for 4 nights, less discounts and that was for 2 people!

no, we take cabin baggage - 1 suitcase each like the cabin crew use is big enough for holiday clothes - we went to palma in april and had plenty of clothes that we didnt wear! Also as its a 10 deal with no taxes, there are no online check infees.
it really is 80 quid to fly family of 4 return to salou during summer holidays! best thing is we fly from bournemouth which is only 1 hour from our house.

Have you considered hiring a car instead of transfers? It cost a £46 plus fuel for 4 nts and previously £56 plus fuel before for a week with doyouspain. Check out other forums/tripadvisor forums if you are going to Port Aventura as there is sometimes a 2 for 1 voucher on the reverse of the McDonalds receipt - worth getting a drink for the receipt if they do! ha, i remember the good ol days of 1p flights, 3 x to lake garda during summer hols with £80 camp sites for a week! downside was the long old drive up to standsted/luton. we only go from bournemouth now, april i got flights to palma majorca for 8 quid each, so 48 return! gutted i hadnt got an electron card so cost me the huge amount of 88, i really begrudged that 40 quid! just realised i could have got another 30 quid off the accommodation at salou by using quidco, thatll learn me :)

i did have a look at accom for you in aug, cheapest thomson have is around 800 quid for 2 rooms then

There are buses at the airport that take you to your hotel and you arrange pick up the following week. Plana is the company, its about 9 euros return per person.

I have booked transfers with touchdown tours. As I was struggling to find a good priced taxis. As there are a total of 11 of us flighing together 3A and 8 C getting in late at nighter I felt happier having a transfer booked. 168 euro retrun to salou for 11 of us. Not the cheaperst but a good price. I am hoping that we will love salou so much we will go back again and then use the bus which is a lot cheaper.
