Hi all, has anyone any advice about insuring a Mazda Bongo. It is an import and i am a little tired of spending hours getting quotes to be totally confused after getting these quotes to be told we do not insure imports. Why not?
Many thanks

Because grey imports, particularly those from Japan, frequently fail to conform to the same standards of safety, production quality and material quality as equivalent European specific models. For example you can find some dodgy imports from bits of south east Asia that don't come with any rust proofing etc but otherwise look like a UK car. They rust quickly in our weather making them more susceptible to damage.to be told we do not insure imports. Why not?
Parts are also a nightmare to find and they are very hard to value.0 -
Also try contacting BIBA - British insurers & Brokers Association - they can help you find a specialist insurer.

Try Sky insurance, Adrian Flux or the Insurance Factory. They will cover imports0
