Computer keeps freezing.Really annoying.

Hi all.Just recently my computer has decided to keep freezing. Its only for about 2 seconds then its fine again. But this is probably happening every minute. The screen will either not load like it should for 2 seconds or a video clip will freeze and then after 2 seconds restart.I cant work out what it is.Ive taken out all the programs I dont use and moved any pics or movies I dont need on the hard drive onto my external drive.Ive run Malwarebytes and Hijack this and there doesnt seem to be anything there.

I've got a decent PC with 4gb Ram so that I dont think is the problem. Although my PC often sounds like its going to take off with the noise that it makes. Can anyone think of what it could be or what I could do?

Thanks.Josh
