DH cancelled his Gym membership, cause we need the money for a few months, we are fine again come July. They have said that he has to give 3 months notice - what would happen if we cancelled the DD?
Thanks All

Well my brothers Gym needs a months notice, three months seems a bit much. has he explained his dilemma to the Gym? If he did they may hold his membership until July

Hmmm thanks Kimberely worth a thought, to be honest I talked him in to cancelling it, cause he doesn't go enough to jusify the cost. I have altered our budget so that we don't put any money aside for Xmas for a couple of months, we don't have massive xmas's and there will be more than enough in the account come Oct for gifts for the children

Thanks though for your replies0 -

Well most Gyms are pretty good if you explain and also they would rather lose 3 months Gym money then lose a customer in the long term

I have had a similar problem with Holmes Place which has an annual membership. Any ideas on how I can get out..................0

Fitness First takes a copy of your c/card or d/card details at the time of signing the membership form - I asked why they did this and they told me it was to cover themselves if somebody cancelled their DD. Read the agreement - check up on the notice period too. Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0

One of my housemates has just bagged himself unlimited FREE gym time...
How? Well if you know anyone living in those posh managed flats with basement gyms, perhaps you could persuade them [as my housemate has done] to give you keys/access codes and you can pretty much use it whenever you like. If a "real" tenant asks who you are, either quote your friend's flat number pretending to be him/her or quote the same number stating that you are their brother/sister... My housemate has cancelled his real gym membership and now gets a few hours free a week in his friend's gym!
How's that for money saving? I'm almost jealous...
