According to Sony Ericsson they send you a link when they receive your phone for repair and you can track your progress day and night.
.... That is if they actually admit to having your phone.
They advise sending it to their freepost address and keeping back a certificate of postage. Ha! My phone is worth best part of £400
I sent it special delivery (before 1pm) on Monday with £500 protection just incase it went missing. Appears it's Sony who lose things as three calls said they didn't have it, despite the royal mail site saying it was delivered sucessfully.
Apparently I had to wait 3-7 days for it to be actually looked for, and then the same amount of time to have it mended! I don't think so! Ringing the repair center itself rather than the helpdesk (thank god for saynoto0870.com) and speaking to one of the managers who escalated it said the phone had been there the entire time!
She couldn't understand why I'd been told it wasn't! Thankfully it's been flagged up and being pushed through as an urgent job and should be despatched tomorrow. (I say should - whether it will or not is another question. Still haven't got that link either)
This is the same company who refused point blank to admit there was a big problem with the issue I sent it back with (can't hear anything out of the actual earpiece, have to put it on speakerphone to hear the other person) despite there being newsreports/reviews/people complaining about it all over the net - and carphone warehouse saying it was a common fault with the phone!
