Zavvi

I purchased a Nintendo DS Lite in Sept 08 from a Zavvi store that has now closed. The DS is now faulty and I have wrote to the administrators who have "put me in the queue".
I have been told that as I purchased this on my VISA debit card I may be entitled to a refund, even though it may be a long shot.

Any advice welcome.

In the time it takes to hear from the administrators you may as well buy a new DS, I think that only works if you buy using a credit card.

    Call nintendo - 0870 6060247

To make a claim under warranty the buyer has to (a) notify Nintendo about the defect within 12 months after the date of purchase and (b) send the product to Nintendo together with the claim notification, or within 30 days after the claim notification, together with the proof of purchase (such as a till receipt).

Thanks for the replies. I don't have the original receipt as the administrators requested it with the claim but I do have a copy.

You can try with your bank. I know someone who was offered a refund from their Visa debit card when XL went bust.
