Identity fraud insurance

My credit card (RBS Mastercard) is trying to persuade me to take out identity fraud insurance, provided by a company called CPP or something like that.
Is this sort of thing worth it? If so, how much would it be reasonable to pay for it?
Opinions much appreciated. Thanks.

Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I think it's a waste of money personally. The way I look at it is that if I don't act negligently I won't ever be out of pocket should I be the victim of a fraud.
Plus I don't see what they can do to 'repair' your credit rating that you can't do yourself.
Maybe someone will come up with a reason why it's a good idea........0 -
Its not necessary, you can take precautions yourself and just be aware of dodgy atms etc0
